BIGLOVEBALL
LOCATION: Living Space, VANCOUVER, BC
Concept: Ross Bonetti
PHOTOGRAPHER: Ema Peter

From inception, BIGLOVEBALL has drawn a crowd. As a powerful conductor transmitting an endless stream of photographs through social media, it allows us to ignore the vast miles between us. BIGLOVEBALL is an irresistible invitation to engage. Impossible to misunderstand.
BIGLOVEBALL has been the centre of meaningful events in every corner of the world. A pop art cultural phenomenon, this public display of affection has been embraced wherever people have felt the need to express love, as big and as boldly as possible.
Over the years, witnessing the reaction between the swarms of pedestrians happening upon my BIGLOVEBALL installations has led me to an observation regarding public art.
I call it the Sugar Cube Theory.
Wherever a sugar cube is dropped, ants from far and wide will find it.
