My friend Dave Decarlo, a Vancouver artist who makes masterpieces from recycled stuff, allowed me to feature him with Big Love Ball, in celebration of PRIDE.

Told him to think PINK and asked if he would give me a little something something, out in the streets in front of the headquarters of mainstream monster retailer Aritzia. (who all looked unimpressed on their migration to the near JJ Bean Coffee.) So many things to say here… but mostly, while we shot this we could hear this song coming from a cardboard makeshift home on the sidewalk, loud enough to become the soundtrack to Dave’s performance. It was incredibly profound to me.

Dave is approaching 70 and while many men tremble at the mere idea of PINK, Dave has spent his life standing tall and PROUD, in every colour.
