SAY IT BIGGER
SAY IT BIGGER
8 billion people on this planet are fighting to be heard. The sound is deafening as we struggle to be understood. Buzzing, pushing, pulling, SHOUTING. We all want to be received. Our message is LOVE. When unified in peace our universal voice is the most beautiful sound of all.
In this state of world wide chaos we invited fellow citizens of Vancouver to peacefully stand for LOVE in the centre of our city. We rolled out over fifty 5 foot spheres with LOVE spread across their breadth, for our most ambitious public installation to date. As it was a carefully curated communication, we asked that all refrained from bringing interfering materials, such as political props, banners or signage.
So without fists, fury or foaming lips we assembled in hope to speak to the world. We also felt it was imperative to show our children that not every gathering must be fuelled by hate. We would like to thank the individuals who tucked away their shyness and softly mingled on the grounds of the Vancouver Art Gallery until the sun set behind the mountains. It was both beautiful to be a part of and unforgettable to witness.
SAY IT BIGGER is the metaphorical public gesture created by artist Wendy Williams Watt, founder of BIGLOVEBALL.
